SPC for Healthcare is a free, open resource created by Jacob Anhøj and Mohammed Amin Mohammed, combining decades of experience in healthcare quality improvement, analytics and research.

Our goal is simple: to make SPC accessible to everyone working to improve patient care – whether you’re a clinical analyst, improvement lead, researcher, operational manager or curious clinician.

Jacob Anhøj: Medical doctor with more than 30 years of professional experience and a diploma in Information Technology. Author of 45+ peer-reviewed papers and several books, Jacob is committed to patient safety and quality improvement. He has extensive teaching experience and is also the creator of several R packages, including qicharts2, which is widely used for SPC chart construction and analysis. ORCiD: 0000-0002-7701-1774.

Mohammed Amin Mohammed: Emeritus Professor of Healthcare Quality and Effectiveness at the University of Bradford, with over 100 peer-reviewed publications including a recent book Statistical Process Control: Elements of Improving Quality and Safety in Healthcare. He has been identified as one of the most influential authors in the field of statistical process control in healthcare (Waqas et al. (2024)). He is also the founder of the NHS-R Community, promoting the use of R in healthcare. ORCiD: 0000-0003-0987-4268.
